I’m a journalist and editor of The Pembrokeshire Herald and Herald.Wales. Based in West Wales, I write about public life, the people behind the headlines and a world being reshaped by technology.

For more than a decade, my working life has revolved around independent journalism: covering courts, questioning public bodies and telling stories that might otherwise go unheard.
Local reporting keeps you close to the consequences of decisions. A change in health policy becomes someone’s wait for treatment. A council budget determines the future of a village school. Finding the gap between an official account and the experience of the people affected—and explaining it fairly—is an essential part of the job.
Alongside editing and reporting, I write books and contribute to television and radio. I live in Milford Haven with my wife, Nao, and our three children. My interests extend well beyond Wales, but this is home.
03 Books
My books give me room to explore questions beyond the daily news cycle.
